SAMPLE OFF THE SITE:
There would have been an ache in her shoulders had Ava still been human. She could feel the phantom ache but ignored it. Sleep called out to her. The sun was close to rising. Part of Ava hated this life of hers. The craving of human blood, the odd looks people at the station gave her. She was still one of them, but she was different.
She was one of them now.
Her house looked very similar to how it was before but that wasn't true either. Her home was more like her thomb. Curtains as thick as walls. The sun no longer would caress her skin, now it would only burn her to ashes.
Tears wanted to escape but she couldn't cry them out. She wanted to roll up into a ball in the corner but her body would not move to do so.
She walked through the house in silence much like a zombie. The water seemed to turn on of it's own accord but she must have moved the nozzle. Naked she stood in front of the mirror. She could see herself, plain as day. Her face was much different than the face she knew. This face was tired. Could understand why some of the old vampires stand in the sunlight.
Ava was aware that she wasn't going to last long like this. That one of these mornings she would stand outside and let her body burn. Today was not that day though.
She inhaled deeply before exhaling. It was a usless action but it made a part of her feel better. She lowered herself into the water which was as cold as ice but it did not faze her. Slowly she submurged herself into the water and filled her lungs.
Part of her still wished that the water would kill her.
